THE LOVE(short story)6

"Mom, is dad home?", Jamila was surprised to see May early in the morning with the baby.
 " He went out for a walk. He should be back soon. Why are you here that early with the baby? Where is Farabi?"
  " I came with the transit bus. I need to talk to dad, it's urgent. Call him to come home now!" Said May in a worried voice.

It's been an hour that shuruq came home. Sitting in the living room, he is thinking what to do in this situation. May is absolutely right if she doesn't want to go back to the boy or the family! How could Farabi make deals like that! Is May really safe in their house?

Jamila broke the silence." I don't think there is anything wrong if Farabi wants May to help out his cousin. He is not really selling her. Not to mention he is getting a good amount for doing almost nothing. I don't think we should say anything."
 Shuruq looked at Jamila. " Do you sometimes really forget that you are May's mother? How could you support this? You should at least support her as a woman. Instead, you are supporting Farabi's family. Unbelievable!"
    " You have to look at the big picture. With this amount, Farabi can do something on his own, may be start a business. May will have a steady life. I don't care what you think about me. I am calling them to come and take her." Jamila left. 

"Why do you want me to go back to that house?", May's voice showed more pleading than anger. "I don't want to be there. I don't want to be used like this." 
Jamila stopped stirring the onion and looked at May, " I didnt ask your opinion on that. You are going back. Look! Farabi is just trying to make some extra money to give you two a better life. You should support him. You are married now with a baby. I can't keep you in my house. We have to live in the society. Your dad also thinks the same way."

 " Define happiness, mom! I forgot the definition living there!", May sounded sarcastic.
Few months later....
Farabi is almost always in a very good mood, as he got the money. Lifestyle he always aspired after, is now in his fingertips. He is utilizing every single bit of it. This happiness definitely doesn't include May.

 And May..... Happiness has engulfed her from all directions. At the age of 18, she got hit hard with the reality. Most girls in her age goes to college and spend time with their friends. But May, she has to go to college while being worried about her son and the so called family she is living with.
  What are they going to do next? 
Is the magical sentence that overpowers her mind all the time.

 Just few days ago, one of Farabi's friends came by to ask Farabi if he can help his brother to come to the States. He offered a good amount. Believe it or not, Farabi is considering the offer. As he has offer salvation to the entire world through May.

 Gilman pulled Brian to the side. - What's going on boss?  - What do you mean? Brian replied pretending to be surprised. -  "Dont play that game with me. I know you too well by now. I saw you roaming around Saba's cousin past few hours. If I am not mistaking, you were having a talk with her. What is it about?" -" I was just curious about her. She is quite interesting and smart. Now please excuse me!" Brian took a sip of the wine and left. Gilman stood there for a good minute or two. He still can't believe his ears.' Some woman sounds interesting to Brian! THE LOVE 12

May's s sleep broke with the morning Ray hitting her face. She raised her hand to cover her face from the sun's glare. Took a few minutes to realize that she is sleeping on the floor. After tahajjud and morning prayer, she didn't feel like going to bed. The mind became heavier than the body could bear. Getting up from the floor, May gathered everything and tucked them away.  " I have a decision to make" she said to herself. The prayer really helped to clear up her mind but she still needs to talk to someone.
