We fight terrorism, not Muslims!!!!

I know I am not supposed to talk about politicians here. But the situation right now has forced me to take this step. Before I start talking, let me tell you that I am no expert in this!!! I am just an ordinary girl from a very ordinary neighborhood. The neighborhood where everyone is fighting to have their ends meet. So, the politics and politicians really don't matter to us. Still when I see politicians talking about having Muslim communities wear special badge or when the whole presidential debate is based on Muslims, makes me wonder where do we stand in this American society!! Every time I open my Twitter account, I see everyone is talking about radical Islam. What do they mean by radical Islam? Do they mean the ignorant people who kill in the name of religion or the ordinary practicing Muslims  who go to the mosque to pray five times salah, have beard, wear hijab or niqab, do charity??? If they mean the second one, then I am sorry to say that they have  got it all wrong. I also heard some politicians saying that if Islam is really a religion of peace then why they are not welcomed to learn about the religion. Islam is always a religion of peace, if you don't believe me come to the masjids and learn about our religion. You are always invited but our invitation is keep getting ignored. Regarding wearing special badges, we do not need badges to say we are Muslims. We dress the Muslim way, we follow the Sunnah of prophet (saw), this is more than enough to tell you who we are. We are proud to show you this way that we are Muslims but we have problem when you ask us to wear badges just like Hitler asked from the Jewish community. We are in a war with terrorism, sure why not!!! But we are not at a war with Muslims who want to practice their religion. History is repeating itself respected politicians!!! Open your eyes before causing the 3rd world war, this is the last thing we need right now!!!

May's s sleep broke with the morning Ray hitting her face. She raised her hand to cover her face from the sun's glare. Took a few minutes to realize that she is sleeping on the floor. After tahajjud and morning prayer, she didn't feel like going to bed. The mind became heavier than the body could bear.
