Let's make America great again!!!!!
Islamophobia has become the most common word at least in last few days in the USA. Every time I surf through the news related to Muslims in my twitter account, only thing I see is how Muslims are hated by almost all the people. After a while, this gets a bit more depressing!!! Sometimes, I ask myself what did I do so wrong for being stereotyped like that!!! I wasn't the one who was present in the Paris attack nor I was in the California shooting. Still getting punished for something that someone else has done....I know that people will tell me Americans are scared of their life that is why they are talking like that. I am an American as well, I enjoy the same freedom as they do, I enjoy the same benefit as they do and trust me I am as scared as they are may be even more!!! I am scared of getting killed by one of those so-called Muslims and I am scared of those Americans who are skeptical of the Muslims. Yes, I have two different kinds of fear going through my mind right now. Every time I go out of the house, I am scared someone might call me names, spit on me, attack me etc. because my dress looks similar to one of the shooters in Calif. Average Americans would probably get scared only when they see a Muslim around and I am scared all the time because they are all around me. They are right there in the park, in grocery stores, in the malls, in government offices, in police stations, in doctor offices!!! Politicians are talking about profiling every single Muslims in America or make them wear special badges so average Americans know what they are dealing with. What about our fear? Why aren't anyone addressing the fear Muslims are facing? Aren't we considered as average Americans? How do I know that the person walking toward me with regular clothes is not going to attack me????Where are their badges that says they do not discriminate Muslims? How do I know the person smoking cigarette front of me will not try to burn me with it? I know I am asking a lot of questions. I am asking because no one is answering. I don't want government support when I am a victim of hate crime, I want the initiative that tells me I am not going to be a victim of hate crime. I dream of a country where people of all religious beliefs will coexist without hurting each other, where I am not going to be scared of walking down the street, where people will hug each other instead of hurting each other. Isn't this what going to make America great again????
