Living the life to the fullest

Don't let the title fool you!!! I am not saying that I have picked the wrong title. All I am saying is, living the maximum with the minimum. I have to admit that I would never write this article if I hadn't been on a road trip. Before this trip, I always thought that bigger is better. Big rooms, big apartments are crucial for a comfortable life style. All the credits goes to HOUZZ app (Come on!! I have to blame someone). Living in the car for about 7 days in 13 days long trip, made me realize that how small amount stuff we need to live a happy and content life. Yes, I am supporting a minimalist life style. Benefit of it, a lot!!! First of all, you don't waste your whole day to organize your place, you will know where are your things exactly and most important of all, you can use that free time to pray and spend with your family. I know there are lot of people who live like this but only one I know is my brother in law. I don't support his belief system but I admire the way he lives his life. He once told me that all his stuff fits in a "duffel bag". So, no maintenance required. He can literally pick up his bag and go anywhere. I think to myself, what a simple lifestyle!!! Then I remember how our beloved prophet (SAW) used to live his life. He was the poorest man out of all yet he was the king of all. He was poor because he chose to have the minimum. He belongings were his bedding, container for water, some essentials and that's it. Now we just want more and more. We are never content with our life. We forget the fact that we have to answer for every single thing we do in our life. How we earn the money and how we spend it!!!

  1. Nice to hear about something you learned thanks to your road trip! If you are ever stuck for a topic, could you please write about what states and sights in the USA you recommend visiting on a road trip. Also what are the benefits of going and what you recommend packing or not. I saw a video yesterday from a girl who started her road trip in Maine. Looked like so much fun! Now I have to go on one one day ;)
